Register for this 2-day workshop to begin your journey towards getting your FEES & Functional Laryngoscopy competency.
In this workshop, developed in collaboration with Dr Danielle Stone, Speech Pathologists will be equipped to confidently perform SP-led Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing and Functional Laryngoscopy procedures in a safe and evidence-based manner.
Prior to the 2-day workshop, you’ll be sent a holistic online training to complete to build your knowledge and prepare you for the hands-on component. From there, you’ll be ready to conduct all stages of the instrumental assessment process from setting up for a procedure, completing a protocol, interpreting and describing findings and making a plan of action for your clients.

FEES & Functional Laryngoscopy Workshop | NORTH BRISBANE
What you’ll learn:
- Build confidence in describing pharyngeal and laryngeal anatomy and function
- Learn and implement protocols for conducting FEES and FL procedures
- Identify the functional impact of oropharyngeal dysphagia (FEES) and voice difficulties (FL)
- Practice interpretation and documentation of findings and prepare an example report of your findings
- Complete 10 procedures on healthy participants and mannequins to build your initial competency
- Learn how to manage risks, and effectively disinfect equipment with the 3-step Tristel system
