Fees and rebates
At Speak and Swallow, we want to be clear with you from the outset about our fees and charges. We welcome the chance to talk to you about how we charge for our in-home and clinic services and any funding support or rebates you may be eligible to receive.

Price is subject to change, with indexation with price guide increases, every financial year.
Clients will be advised with at least one month’s notice of any pricing changes.
Travel Fees
Speak and Swallow offers in-home speech therapy services within the Greater North Brisbane area, including Moreton Bay region. All in-home appointments will incur a standard travel fee of $97 per appointment.
Alternatively, clinic based speech therapy services are offered at:

Clinic based appointments will not incur travel fees. Speak and Swallow reserves the right to cease services in any location to ensure staff safety.
Additional Fees and Charges
Additional services that are provided outside of your session time may incur additional fees.
Speak and Swallow will not apply any additional fees (excluding those outlined in the above appointment inclusions and flat rate travel fee) without first explicitly discussing these with clients.
Cancellation Fees
As per the Speak and Swallow Cancellation Policy:
If you fail to attend, cancel, or seek to reschedule an appointment with less than two business days’ notice you must pay 100% of the appointment fee, plus 100% of the travel fee if the appointment was for an in-home service.
Cancellation fees may be processed at the time the cancellation is made, or at the very latest at the time of the next scheduled session. It is the policy of Speak and Swallow that no further sessions will be offered if a missed session fee is not paid.
Speak and Swallow reserves the right to discontinue a service without notice, at its discretion, if a client breaks the conditions of their Service Agreement, including non-payment for cancelled appointments.
Rebates and Funding Packages
At Speak and Swallow we provide services to clients who receive funding packages through the NDIS, Department of Veteran Affairs, Medicare, Home Care Package providers and private health insurance.
