What kind of clients do you work with at Speak and Swallow?

Speak and Swallow Speech Therapy provide speech therapy services for adults and adolescents in North Brisbane. We predominantly work with individuals living with progressive neurological conditions like Parkinson’s Disease, Huntington’s Disease, and Multiple Sclerosis. We also support individuals living with speech, communication, and swallowing difficulties (dysphagia) as a result of brain injury. We are also known in the North Brisbane area for our instrumental assessment services and the training we provide to support workers, carers, and Speech Pathologists.

Do you offer home visit speech therapy sessions?

Our Speech Pathologists offer home visit speech therapy sessions to a variety of locations around North Brisbane and Moreton Bay including Redcliffe, North Lakes, Burpengary, Morayfield, Caboolture, and Bribie Island. Please note that home visits do incur an additional travel cost, which is outlined on our fees page. Our home visit speech therapy sessions can take place in our client’s homes, aged care facilities, and supported independent living houses.

Do you offer telehealth speech therapy sessions?

If you are looking for flexible speech therapy appointments that don’t incur travel costs, telehealth speech therapy is a great option. At Speak and Swallow Speech Therapy our team of experienced clinicians are able to provide telehealth appointments for individuals with a variety of concerns including speech changes associated with Parkinson’s Disease, gender affirming voice therapy, aphasia therapy, and much more.

Can I refer a client of mine for an instrumental assessment at your clinic?

If you are a Speech Pathologist in Queensland seeking a timely instrumental assessment for one of your clients, it is certainly something our team can help with. Our senior clinicians with training in this advanced scope of practice offer both Functional Laryngoscopy and Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES). To arrange one for a client of yours, simply contact our friendly team to organise a referral. Once complete, we will be able to provide a report to inform your ongoing care.

This is my first time seeking speech therapy. What can I expect?

How can I get in touch to make an enquiry or refer a client to you?

Ready to start your speech therapy journey with us? Wonderful. You can enquire / refer a client to us by completing our contact form. Please note that we do have limited availability, and do not maintain a waitlist. If we are able to offer you an appointment with one of our Speech Pathologists, we will request information from you to prepare our service agreement and any other necessary documentation. This documentation must be signed prior to us arranging an appointment.
